The government says it is concerned about the latest controversy surrounding the judiciary at this time.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, however, maintains that the ruling administration respects the separation of powers and will not get directly involved in the matter.

He was asked by Opposition Member of Parliament Ganga Singh whether or not the government intends to set up a Commission of Inquiry into the fiasco.

The PNM Political Leader said the government will not proceed with such an inquiry.

Dr Rowley was also questioned on the hot topic of the TSTT\ Massy Communications Limited Share Purchase Agreement.

The Prime Minister said while due diligence was adhered to, he was not in a position to provide details relating to the consultants involved in that process.
