The Government has no information that there are over one hundred Trinidadian nationals fighting for ISIS.
This is according to Attorney General Faris Al Rawi.
He was responding to recent media reports in the media that Nationals from this country were fighting for the Islamic State.
He revealed that monitoring through the Anti-Terrorism desk is underway for anyone who may have links with Isis.
The desk is operational and surveillance has been conducted on those deemed to have links with the Islamic State.
He revealed that shortly legislation dedicated to the issue of foreign terrorism would be brought to Parliament.
Al Rawi also articulated that the Governments of T&T and Venezuela would be sharing information and fighters leaving the country to fight for Isis will be debarred from doing so.
