Residents of the community of Greenvale, La Horquetta are considering taking legal action against the Housing Development Corporation, for the damage and destruction of their homes and properties, which took place during the heavy rains of October 19th.
This comes in the wake of the meeting last Thursday, involving a number of government ministers and other public officials, which left many residents more perplexed than they were before.
Speaking on the State of the Nation programme on Power102FM today, one resident Kelston Pope confirmed that disgruntled residents are meeting with attorneys, and are considering their legal options. He said some feel betrayed, having not been informed about the possibility of flooding.
Asked to confirm whether legal action was being pursued, he said yes.
