Former President of the Hindu Credit Union Harry Harnarine says threats of civil forfeiture proceedings against him are nothing new.
He claimed allegations of corruption and mismanagement have been made against him before however he is still waiting for legal action to be taken.
Eighteen criminal charges could be brought against Harnarine, coming out of the findings of a Commission of Enquiry into the collapse of the Hindu Credit Union.
The report was compiled by Sir Anthony Coleman.
However Mr. Harnarine is insisting that he did nothing illegal.
The former HCU boss said that there were several discrepancies within the Coleman report that had not been validated.
He maintained his innocence and has stood by his decisions during his tenure at HCU.
