Historian and Author Angelo Bissessarsingh lost his battle with pancreatic cancer today.
Angelo passed away this morning at approximately 10 am at his Siparia home.
His family confirmed his death via his Facebook page.
This comes after his health took a turn for the worse last month.
Bissessarsingh, known for his riveting Trinidad Guardian columns about various aspects of Trinidad and Tobago’s history, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015 and was given two months to live.
Angelo had hoped to live till mid-February to be able to see the publication of his latest work.
