by | Oct 25, 2018

Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley, says the government is seeking to get deferral arrangements in place from the Trinidad and Tobago Mortgage Finance Company Limited for persons who were affected by recent flooding.

Dr. Rowley explains that the move will be spearheaded by the Housing Minister who will liaise with the TTMF so that special payment accommodation will be made for Housing Development Corporation tenants until January next year.

He said that from tomorrow, through the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services, persons whose homes were adversely affected from flooding can benefits from grants varying from fifteen, twenty and twenty-five thousand dollars.

Dr. Rowley made the revelation at the weekly post cabinet media briefing held at the Diplomatic Center, St. Ann’s this afternoon.
