INDIAN EXPO BUSINESS OWNERS COUNT THEIR LOSES

Indian Expo FireA senior official of the Chaguanas Business  Chamber tells News Power Now over thirty entrepreneurs are feeling the impact of a fire which destroyed the massive tent set up to accommodate them at the Indian Expo at the Divali Nagar Site.

Reports say around 2am Thursday smoke was seen coming from the site.

Fire officers were called in but were unable to save the contents of the tent.

Chaguanas Business Chamber President, Richie Sookai, in a News Power Now interview described the development as unfortunate, adding that it is a major financial loss to many operators.

Mr. Sookai said fire officials are continuing their probe into the incident, in the same breath, confirming that questionable items have been found at the site.
