Ferdinand Ferreira former member of the previous board of the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is claiming that there was internal conflict among members.

Speaking at the Joint Select Committee on Land and Physical Infrastructure today Mr. Ferreira explained that there were instances of disagreement and unease among board members on some issues.

The JSC is inquiring the inter-island ferry service with specific focus on procurement and maintenance of the ferries.

Mr. Ferreira said one such matter related to the extension of the contract for the Superfast Galicia adding that the issue did not have discussion at the board level.

He added that the relationship at times with the previous PATT Chairman Christine Sahadeo was not a good one.

Meanwhile, JSC member Franklin Khan said the strained relationship would have interfered with critical areas of the Port operations.
