Three cabinet ministers say they will follow the direction of the rest of the Cabinet when it comes to supporting the petition by Works Minister Jack Warner calling for the implementation of the death penalty.

At the post-Cabinet media briefing yesterday Ministers Winston Peters, Bhoe Tewarie and Vernella Alleyne-Toppin agreed that they all have their personal views on the death penalty.

However they all maintained that they would support what the cabinet decided to do.

Minister Warner launched his petition on Tuesday when he visited protesting residents of the Prime Minister’s Siparia constituency.
