Jack Warner has been discharged from the Couva Hospital. In a statement on Sunday night, the former FIFA vice president said, “The worst part is over but the journey back to good health is incomplete.”
Warner said he is under strict instructions to self-quarantine until September 24th to ensure he does not pose a threat to his family or anyone else. He contracted the virus two weeks ago, and has been in the hospital since September 2nd. The former Government Minister also noted that during his period of recovery, he will remain “in the shadows away from media contact.”
This he says is to allow him to the necessary time to recover undisturbed. He called on the media to respect his wishes during this period.
