Jamaican swimmer Alia Atkinson made history over the weekend as she became the first black woman to hold a swimming world record.
Atkinson won the 100-metres breaststroke at the International Swimming Federation World Short Course Championships, in Qatar.
Her time of 1-minute, 2.36 seconds tied the world record.
Afterward, Atkinson spoke about rebounding from a poor race earlier in the competition.
