Police are investigating a report in which a 23-year-old Moruga man was chopped and grazed by a bullet.
The 23-year-old was at his Marac Village home with his two brothers around 5am on Saturday, when they were accosted by six men.
They reportedly heard explosions and ran. However, the 23-year-old fell into a drain and was caught by the assailants who beat him before fleeing the scene.
Soon after, his father found him bleeding from what appeared to be chop wounds, as well as a “bullet-graze” to the right side of the head.
The injured man was rushed for medical treatment and has since been discharged but is expected to return for further attention.
The incident is suspected to be as a result of a land dispute in the area.
