LEE SING ATTEMPTS MORE MANAGING

The forty-eight hours ultimatum given to Port of Spain City Corporation management to address issues affecting sanitation workers is over and the union representing the employees is upset and plan to take serious action.

Earlier this month the workers refused to work in protest of the situation, a move which affected several communities and institutions.

Commenting on the matter in an interview, Port of Spain Mayor, Louis Lee Singh, admitted the Corporation is trying to manage a climbing over time bill and a shift system has been recommended to help address the problem.

However, Amalgamated Workers Trade Union, First Vice President, Michael Prentice, in a News Power Authority interview Monday claimed no head way has been made and employees plan to gather in their numbers in front of the City Corporation Tuesday morning.
