Prime Minister, Kamla Persad-Bissessar

Mrs. Persad-Bissessar said the right of recall, whereby the people will have the power to recall MPs who are not doing their jobs, was a promise in the People’s Partnership 2010 manifesto.

She said the draft legislation to this effect was prepared this weekend.

The Prime Minister warned supporters should the PNM return to power, every project started under her regime will be gone.
