A Sangre Grande man who left his house to harvest some yams to prepare a meal, never returned home and was later found dead.

Forty-six year old Shameed Ali left his Barker Trace, Coalmine, Sangre Grande home on Wednesday, and told his father Shaffick that he had already seasoned chicken for a meal and would fetch the yams after tending to his cows two miles away. He never returned to complete his meal. He was found one day later with a bullet wound to his chest and his head bashed in.

Relatives made the gruesome discovery after mounting a search for Ali. Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of this perpetrator, is asked to contact the police anonymously using their CRIME STOPPERS hotline – 800-TIPS.
