On Wednesday, the Marabella community got a visit from The Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs Mr. Kevin Ramnarine and the Minister of Labour and Small and Micro Enterprise Development Mr. Errol McLeod. The MP for Pointe-a-Pierre also visited the community to review Petrotrin’s clean-up operations.
Nine (9) Petrotrin employees were suspended on Wednesday as investigations continue into the cause of the oil leak at Tank MP6 in the Refinery.
These follow the temporary suspension of the company’s Vice President, Refining and Marketing. Of the nine (9) additional employees suspended today, two (2) represent Petrotrin’s Management.
