The Route Two Maxi Taxi is welcoming measures being taken by the Works and Infrastructure Ministry to restore order on the Priority Bus Route.
On Thursday Works and Infrastructure Minister, Dr. Surujrattan Rambachan, said he has received complaints from members of the public about some maxi taxi operators engaging in short drops from Arima to Port- of- Spain.
Dr Rambachan warned that action will be taken against operators who engage in the practice of charging passengers the full fare for ‘short drops.

In a News Power Now interview on Friday afternoon, Route Two Maxi Taxi Association President, Linus Phillip, said it is important that operators comply with the law, as they provide a service to the public.
