The Ministry of Planning and Development wants to enhance life at the facility by giving it a $78 nmillion makeover.
It will include upgraded public facilities and a boardwalk.
Dr. Bhoendradatt Tewarie Minister of Planning and Development made the announcement at the weekly post cabinet news briefing.

According to the Minister this too will be addressed.

Work on the upgrade should begin in 3 month time.
The Minister revealed that the $79 million price tag was significantly lower than what was proposed under the previous administration which was $260 million.
The Minister stated that the decision came about because of an interest in allowing visitors to completely enjoy the beauty of the beach.
