The Ministry of Health says it is expecting its healthcare facilities to be overcome with persons visiting with complaints of medical conditions as a result of the flooding experienced in various parts of the country.
Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh told News Power Now that officials from the Ministry are targeting the Greenvale, La Horquetta community for a flu vaccination drive and to deal with other complaints.
VOLUNTEERS ON THE FIELD
As relief efforts continue across the country the private sector and other non-governmental organisations are out in full force assisting persons affected by the recent floods.
Speaking on the programme News Power This Week on Sunday, Deputy Political Leader of the United Nation Congress, Khadijah Ameen gave details of the various operations mobilized to address medical concerns of flood victims.
She was on the field working alongside volunteers in the Tunapuna/Piarco Regional Corporation.
