Yet another appeal is coming from life guards for the relevant authorities to address man power challenges.
The life guards contend this situation must be urgently treated.
Their appeal comes on the heels of a drowning at Maracas Beach on Monday.
Reports say a 49 year old man drowned after rescuing two of his relatives who got into difficulties while bathing at sea.
National Union of Government and Federated Workers Life Guard General Branch Secretary, Curtis Hernandez, in an interview this afternoon claimed a shortage of personnel to properly man the popular venue is posing a challenge.
Mr Hernandez added that the situation is compounded especially on a public holidays and weekends.
