Another tourism organization is rallying behind national carrier, Caribbean Airlines, following Saturday’s incident of one its planes at the Cheddie Jaggan International Airport in Guyana.

The aircraft, which over shot the run way split in two carrying 157 passengers on board and six crew members.

Thirty -five passengers sustained injuries but there were no fatalities.

On Tuesday Executive Director of  the Trinidad Hotels, Restaurants and Tourism Association, Louanna Chai, said the group is thankful there were no loss of life and commended the carrier on its impressive safety record.

In a News Power Authority interview this afternoon ,President of the Tobago Hoteliers Association, Carol Ann  Birchwood James, said the mood from the sister isle is  also one of support.

She also called on politicians to handle the matter with care and allow the aviation experts to carry out their work in a professional manner.
