A 34 year old Moruga man is warded in critical but stable condition at hospital after being shot in the hand, chest and abdomen around 2pm yesterday. The incident is said to have occurred as Tommy Thomas of Edward Trace, Basseterre, Moruga, was walking along a track in the area.
Reports are that when he looked around, he saw a man lurking behind some bushes. He raised an alarm and the man ran off.
Thomas was taken to the Princes Town Health Facility by officers of the Southern Division Task Force stationed in Moruga where he was treated before being transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital.
Police are continuing their investigations.
