Azmon Alexander was arrested by officers from Northern Division Task Force at Lennox Yearwood Boulevard, Malabar, at 10:30am.
Alexander who was armed with a cutlass was found in the passenger seat of a car.
He was detained at the La Horquetta Police Station.
Alexander, was deemed a ‘person of interest’ into the disappearance of 49 year old Irma Rampersad her daughters – Felicia, and Jenelle, her grand-daughter 14-month-old, Shania Amoroso and a family friend.
They were reported missing to the Arima Police Station on October 28th, 2014 but were last seen at their home on October 26th, 2014.
Three bodies believed to be Miss Rampersad, her grand-daughter and their family friend were found.
PRIME Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar congratulated the members of the Police Service for their work in aggressively pursuing and capturing, country’s most wanted man.
PM Persad-Bissessar said the investigative work done by the police brought a sense of hope that justice will be delivered.
