MOTHER OF INJURED TWO-WEEK OLD BABY PLEADS FOR HELP

Mt Hope Women HospitalThe mother of a two week-old baby girl is asking for the help of the relevant authorities.

The right ankle of baby Kaitlin Soriah Mills is reported to have been burnt while she was being administered an I-V fluid, at the Mt. Hope Maternity hospital.

The distraught mother claims the hospital staff failed to inform her of the severity of the baby’s burns and is calling for the intervention of Minister of Health Dr Fuad Khan to help bring her baby home.

The baby was born with an infection in her abdomen.
After birth she was fed with a tube in her throat, after the infection cleared up she was fed with a through a vein in her foot.

The mother, of the newborn Lystra Mills says that she left the baby at the hospital a week ago for one night.

However when she returned to the hospital the next day a nurse told her that her baby had a small burn on the foot.

She claimed upon investigation she realized that her baby’s foot had a serious burn.

She also revealed that the hospital refused to allow her to take a picture of her baby’s injuries.

She’s calling for a full investigation into the incident.
