Opposition Senator, Fitzgerald Hinds, has been sent before Parliament’s Privileges Committee for comments surrounding the private residence of Prime Minister, Kamla Persad Bissessar in Philippines.

Mr Hinds had referred to a recent newspaper article which said the Prime Minister’s neighbor complained of disruptive noises in the community and decided to put his house up for sale.

In the Senate Tuesday afternoon Public Utilities Minister, Emmanuel George, brought a motion which sought to have Mr Hinds disciplined.

Senate Vice President, Lyndira Oudit, in response said that after deliberation on the matter there is a case to take the matter to the Privileges Committee of Parliament.
