Politicians aren’t exempt from the unexpected attack of criminals. This was felt by MP for Princes Town, Barry Padarath, who was robbed by a perpetrator at gunpoint on Thursday night in Couva.
Reports state that the MP was n the vicinity of a Chinese restaurant along the Southern Main Road, at around 8:15pm, when he was accosted and robbed of his wallet containing $200 cash and bank cards. He was also relieved of his Samsung S9 cellular phone and was subsequently told to hand over the keys to his Toyota Prado SUV.
Mr. Padarath was not physically harmed in the incident and has since made a report to the Couva police. The assailant has been described as a man of dark complexion, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing jeans and a polo shirt, a hat and a bandana over his face.
