The Director of Public Prosecutions has given instructions to officers of the South Homicide Bureau to charge the Chaguanas man accused of brutally murdering his ex-girlfriend and her cousin with double murder.
The 30-year-old man is also facing two charges of attempted murder, firearm related offences and robbery.
The man will be charged for the murders of his ex-girlfriend Deshon Sobers and her cousin Trevon on Divali day.
Sobers’ grandfather, Glenford, 73, an amputee and another cousin, Jamal, were also shot.
According to police after the murders the man robbed a motorist of his vehicle, which he used to escape.
He was eventually caught by police on November 1, nine days after the murders.
