Steps are being taken to develop a curriculum for primary and secondary schools highlighting the country’s history.
It’s a project high on the agenda of the National Diversity and Social Integration Ministry.
The ministry is working with several universities to make the concept a reality.
This update comes from Minister of National Diversity and Social Integration, Roger Samuel.
He made the announcement at the 33rd anniversary wreath-laying ceremony in memory of the country’s first Prime Minister, Dr. Eric Williams.
The event took place over the weekend at the Defense Force Heliport, Chaguaramas.
Minister Samuel said that there was too much of the nation’s history that young citizen’s did not know about.
