National Scholarship winner drowns…

Jherome Alexander, who was a national scholarship winner in 2011, was a student of the University of the West Indies (UWI)  and had dreams of becoming a  medical doctor.

Alexander, an only child, lived with his mother, social welfare officer Cheryl Ann Wendy Alexander, at Peter Hill Extension in, Mayaro.

Police Investigators viewed footage from a  closed circuit television camera at the centre yesterday and found that Alexander got into difficulty and went under water.

Alexander’s body was removed to the Forensic Science Centre in St James.
