In Nigeria, a fresh number of COVID-19 cases has taken the toll to 8,068. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced that an additional 229 cases had been confirmed.
According to the announcement which was made on Monday via Twitter, Lagos state leads the pack with 90 cases, while 27 new cases have been recorded in Katsina with Imo, Kano and FCT coming behind with 26, 23 and 14 cases respectively.
NCDC also recorded 12 cases in Plateau, 9 cases in Ogun, 7 in Delta, 5 cases each in Borno and Rivers.
Oyo state has 4 cases, Gombe 3, Osun 2. Anambra and Bayelsa states shared one case each.
