While there’s no confirmation just yet on whether Nicki Minaj is into her second trimester of pregnancy, speculation is now rife that the Chun Li singer may have very well been with child during her stop over in Trinidad and Tobago for Carnival 2020. Minaj who is married to Kenneth Petty, revealed her growing bump on social media earlier today.
In her photos, the always extravagant rapper, known for her costuming extravagance, donned colourful hair and attire, though skimpy, showing off her protruding baby bump. Fans of the Trinidad born rapper who grew up in Queen’s New York have since gone wild, congratulating her on her pregnancy, Minaj, 37-years-old, announced her retirement from the rap game, in September 2019. She had relayed then, a desire to have a family.
In February 2020, she touched down in her homeland of Trinidad and Tobago for Carnival. In her company was her hubby, Kenneth Petty who, at that time, received a lot of flack for his protective stance against soca artist, Iwer George who had attempted to get close to Minaj after being quickly introduced atop a Tribe mas band music truck, on the parade route. Petty would later face further scrutiny after he was detained and charged, in March, by cops in Los Angeles, having not filed the required documents to indicate his status as a sex offender, in that state.
In her social media post complete with ‘mommy to be’ pics, Nicki said, “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes.” A number of international celebrities and Caribbean artistes have congratulated Minaj on the big news, among them, Neyo, KeKe Palmer, Winnie Harlow, Jamaica’s Popcaan and Beenie Man among others.
