Whether he knew who Iwer George was or not, Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty is being snobbed by many people in Trinidad and Tobago, and overseas, after a physical move that has sent shockwaves across the internet.
Less than 24 hours after the incident atop a Tribe mas band truck, Trinidad and Tobago has lashed out at Minaj’s hubby, saying his visibly apparent snob of “The Boss” Neil Iwer George, as he attempted to get closer to Minaj, was unnecessary and unorthodox in a traditional carnival environment.
Nicki and Petty arrived in Trinidad and Tobago ahead of Carnival Monday and Tuesday. Prior to their arrival, a video circulated of the pair aboard a private jet, Petty gently stroking Minaj’s stomach and saying, “We’re on our way to Trinidad with your dad…” Speculation then arose as to whether Minaj is with child, however in her social media comments beneath the post, the rapper made it clear that her husband’s show of affection in this manner, is customary and was no indication that she is in fact pregnant.
Despite this however, Kenneth Petty, seemingly usually very protective of Minaj, stood close to his wife while on the Tribe music truck. Whether unaware of the culture in T&T, fans of Iwer George have been ridiculing Petty after seeing him push Iwer’s hand away, as the 202o Soca Monarch Champion and inevitable Road March King, attempted to get closer to Minaj. “She need to leave him home next time and he better thank God dey ban glass bottles this carnival,” one social commenter wrote.
