There are no plans to reduce the budgetary allocation for Tobago in light of the recent drop in the global price of oil.
Confirmation of this comes from Finance Minister, Larry Howai.
In the September 2014 national budget Tobago was allocated 3.7 billion dollars.
Speaking with the media following a recent meeting with the Tobago Finance Division Secretary, Joel Jack, Minister Howai said from an early assessment of the situation there are no plans to cut back on the amount budgeted for the sister isle to manage its affairs.
