No directive to kill citizens

stephen williams.jpg1Acting Commissioner of Police, Stephen Williams said there is no directive given to Police Officers to kill citizens.

Various sectors of have been voicing concern with the number of Police killings recently.

The country has recorded 26 Police killings for the year to date.

In a recent interview Mr. Williams said officers respond to the situation they are confronted with.

The Police Commissioner questioned why society has not made an outcry in to number of citizens that has been murdered by criminals.

He added that officers risk their lives on a daily basis to protect citizens and are often met with hostility.
