The manager of the Blue Haven hotel in Tobago says an alarming headline about job losses at the company is wrong and has sent employees into panic.
The newspaper had the headline today, “Job losses as Tobago hotel occupancy crashes “.
Today News Power Now contacted Reservations Manager for Blue Haven Hotel in Scarborough, Wendy Hamlin to get a sense of what the hotel was doing to survive in the current economic times.
Hamlin said the hotel did not cut jobs, nor is on the verge of closing down; but rather was misquoted
by the Trinidad Daily paper.
Ms. Hamlin said as with most Hotels now, business is slow but they doing their best not to close its
doors to local and foreign visitors on the sister isle.
