No Threat To T&T- Met Service Continues To Monitor Tropical Depression

weather-forecastThe Trinidad and Tobago Met service this afternoon maintains that the current tropical depression in the central tropical Atlantic, poses no threat to Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada or its dependencies.

The weather service, in its continued updates on Tuesday evening said the depression is moving toward the West near 29 KM per hour and this general motion is expected to continue during the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds are near 55 kilometers per hour with higher gusts and little change in strength is forecast during the next 24 hours and the depression is expected to weaken to a trough of low pressure by Wednesday night.

The Met service assures that it will continue to monitor the weather system and will issue updates accordingly.
