Acting Commissioner of Police, Stephen Williams, has commended the six officers attached to the Northern Division Task Force, who were instrumental in the capture without incident, of five suspects, who carried out an armed robbery at a Chinese Restaurant, in Arouca, on Sunday.

The officers were praised for their swift, precise, decisive and professional response, which was captured on CCTV camera and the footage officially released by the Police Service on social media on Monday.

The footage, showing the coordinated and precision-like response of the officers was widely commended by social media users; and as of 2:00pm today, reached 711,757 people, viewed around 314,000 times and attracted an engagement rate of 41,863.

The five suspects; a 30-year-old, a 29-year-old, a 28-year-old, a 25-year-old and a 19-year-old, all of Beetham Gardens, are expected to be charged with various offences.
