Education Minister Anthony Garcia today told citizens of Trinidad and Tobago that it would be relatively impossible for schools to be reopened on Monday, April 20th, as formerly expected. He however indicated that this decision would be made by cabinet on Thursday. Minister Garcia spoke with members of the media during another virtual media conference.

He said the decision regarding the reopening of schools will impact the SEA and CXC examinations, highlighting that preparation time would be required for all involved, when it comes to dealing with both exams.

The Minister said as it relates to CXC, all decisions related to hosting this examination would require the input of regional governments.
