The Opposition People’s National Movement says the government must demonstrate wise fiscal management especially in light of the recent downgrade by credit rating agency Moody’s Investors Service.
Speaking at the PNM’s Sports and Family Day at Nelson Mandela Park in St. Clair on Sunday PNM Political Leader, Dr. Keith Rowley , insisted that it cannot be business as usual pertaining to how the country’s resources are spent.
He said failure to make critical changes can result in a further downgrade for the country.
Dr. Rowley noted that the PNM is in election mode and is ready for the polls, whenever the election date is announced.
