Opposition Leader wants racist placards to be investigated

KEITH ROWLEYOpposition Leader Dr. Keith Rowley has called on the Acting Police Commissioner, Stephen William to investigate the issue of racial placards raised on Friday.

Individuals wearing red t-shirts were photographed displaying several placards.

The People’s National Movement was accused of inciting racial behavior during a recent march organized by the Joint Trade Union Movement.

However Dr. Rowley has distanced himself and the party from such behavior.

He said such a public racial display is an act of sedation according to the Sedations Act and should be investigated.
