Over 100 arrested in South

news 1119 people were arrested by police officers of the Southern Division during a special exercise conducted last Friday.

With some 775 vehicles stopped and searched during the exercise, those arrested were detained for varying offences including 73 for outstanding warrants, 25 for driving under the influence of alcohol, and two for the possession of a firearm, ammunition and a cutlass.

Officers also issued 73 traffic tickets to motorists for several violations.

The exercise was conducted in areas of Moruga, Princes Town, Corinth, Pleasantville Ste. Madeline , San Fernando, Mon Repos and environs.

    Arresting all these little fishes is just to showcase the police working.What about white collar crimes?The big fishes cannot be touched as they have lawyers,loopholes and friends in the police service and gov’t.Police fraid big fish catching and besides who wants work?
