Some 130 medical practitioners from Cuba have arrived in Trinidad and Tobago to address the shortfalls in the health system.
The ministry of health had an orientation for the doctors, nurses and pharmacist yesterday.
Some of the Cuban doctors are said to have over 20 year’s medical experience.
Health Minster Dr. Faud Khan said the medics will be taught English to ensure that they can effectively treat patients.
Dr. Khan also revealed that another batch of train medical professionals will be coming to T&T.
