Overcrowded Prisons across T&TSeveral measures are being put in place to address the severe overcrowding at the nation’s prisons.

National Security Minister, Edmund Dillon, outlined the steps carried out to tackle the situation after being questioned on the matter in the Senate.

Minister Dillon also confirmed that there are plans to construct a new prison in the sister isle.

The Tobago prison was built to accommodate 30 inmates but now holds 59.
