OWTU Calls Out T&TEC. Says Apprentices Should be Properly Trained Before Field Work Begins.

Oilfields Workers Trade Union Vice President, Peter Burke, is claiming that there is need for the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission to provide proper training for apprentices before they are sent out on the field to work.

Speaking at a news briefing on Monday, Mr. Burke alleged that standards pertaining to this aspect of the Commission’s operation, have been adjusted.

Mr. Burke claimed that there is a shortage of manpower at the utility and appealed for this situation to be urgently addressed.
