White-collar crime, the OWTU’s Proposal and the importance of working together to build a better nation. These were just some of the topics dealt with by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley as he delivered his feature address at the 49th Annual Convention of the People’s National Movement.
The event, held at the Grand Stand of the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain, also signalled the launch of the PNM’s 2019 Local Government Election Campaign.
Speaking on the OWTU’s proposal, Dr. Rowley reiterated that the Union has the support of the government once their plan for the Pointe-a-Pierre refinery is a robust one.
Last week Prime Minister Rowley said it is in the best interest of the country that the OWTU’s company, Patriotic Energies and Technologies Company Ltd, succeed in owning and operating the Guaracara refiney a point he emphasized once again yesterday
The Prime Minister also spoke about the issue of white-collar crime and corruption in the land.
He explained that the Government is taking the necessary steps to address the issue.
