As is usual during this time of the year many consumers have been looking to shop ahead of the Christmas Holiday.
However some businesses have reported a drop in sales this year, because of a problem that has plagued both consumers and business owners.
The issue of indiscriminate wrecking of vehicles has for some time affected the pockets of consumers and profits of businesses.
This year the PTSC under the guidance of the Ministry of Sport is collaborating with the Downtown Owners Merchants Association (DOMA) and the National Carnival Commission (NCC) in establishing the Park and Ride Service for the period 10th December to 24th December 2014.
The Park and Ride Service was first established in 2012 and was hailed by some as relieving traffic congestion which has been a perennial problem for the city during the Christmas season.
President of DOMA Gregory Aboud revealed that the initiative would also help with wrecking in Port of Spain.
