Former Prime Minister Patrick Manning continues his democracy walk today

Its day 2 of his seven day walk from Port of Spain to San Fernando…and today’s leg of his march starts at the Croissee in San Juan and goes all the way to Grand Bazaar

On Wednesday the San Fernando East MP explained that the walk was not just about his suspension from parliament

He said he was taking this stance on behalf of citizens who were being taken advantaged of in this country

He cited CEPEP, and URP workers, as well as all workers which fall under government programmes like Hype and Must

On Wednesday Mr Manning was joined by some of his colleagues as well as well wishers, and they spurred him on with cheers and applause

Mr. Manning was suspended from parliament two weeks ago for allegations he made in the House of Representatives last November about the construction cost of the Prime Minister’s private house in south Trinidad
