Head of the Police Complaints Authority, David West says body cameras for police officers must be seen as a priority.
Speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102FM, Mr. West said since he assumed office, he has been clamouring for the use of body cams for officers.
Speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102.1FM this morning, he said this would be a protection for both the officers and the public.
He said contrary to what some officers may believe, the PCA wants to protect police officers.
He said Police Commissioner, Gary Griffith has aided in assisting officers to understand the PCA’s intentions.
