PENELOPE BECKLES QUESTIONS THE 7000 APPLICATIONS REJECTION ON VOTERS LIST

Pennelope-BecklesContender for the post of political leader in the People’s National Movement’s internal election, Penelope Beckles -Robinson is questioning the rejection of 7000 applications.

In a press release Mrs. Beckles-Robinson stated the incident is an attempt to subvert the democratic process within the party and deny the democratic rights of thousands of citizens.

She said during the run-up to the May 18 internal election, there has been a series of unfair democratic practices particularly where applications for membership in the party have been concerned.

Also questioning the election process is candidate for General secretary Ronald Boynes.

Member of Parliament for Laventille West Nileung Hypolite, is also demanding answers as to why some candidates have not received a preliminary voters list.
