Minority Councillor in the Tobago House of Assembly, Dr. Faith Yisrael, has finally spoken out following controversial comments made toward her by Secretary of Health, Wellness and Family Development, Dr. Agatha Carrington.
Dr. Carrington’s remarks against Dr. Yisrael made reference to her perceived inability to have children.
The contentious statements from Dr. Carrington were made during last Thursday’s THA Plenary Sitting.
However, speaking with reporters on the issue Dr. Yisrael said she felt hurt by the comments made.
She said she has not yet received an apology from Dr. Carrington.
Meanwhile, THA Minority member, Farley Augustine, claimed that Dr. Carrington is not fit to hold office.
